Jon Gillespie-Brown, CEO
Jon brings to Nalpeiron extensive leadership experience in the information technology, communications and new media arenas with executive roles spanning from VP Sales and Marketing to President and Chief Executive Officer. He has a great deal of expertise in the Software Development and Security markets and over 25 years in the IT business.
Prior to being appointed CEO of Nalpeiron has was the founder and CEO of three IT Companies in Software, Training and New Media. He successfully built and sold out of these Companies in 2000. Before his own ventures, Jon worked for Global players such as Ericcson, SmartLink and Pace as VP Sales/Marketing and General Manager.
Jon is on the Board of Directors of Digital Ventures and Defixo, a member of the Band of Angels/Stanford Angels, a published Author (So you want to be an entrepreneur) and has been a mentor at the London Business School, Stanford and UC Berkeley for ten years.
Henry Roberts, CTO
Henry is a 30 year veteran of the software copy protection market assisting Apple with the first copy protection system for the Apple II. Henry wrote the first thesis on Copy Protection and was a project manager of the Monroe Calculator Company for one of the first general purpose small computers available to businesses, correcting design defects and setting up the production line for that product. Created Sentry copy protection system for Apple, later used by Lord British on Ultima 4. Founded Advanced Software Technologies in 1983. Began protecting Macintosh products. In the early 80's created some of the first hard drive protection for MS-DOS/IBM PC. Was the first to defeat the Copy II PC Option board, which with the accompanying nibble copier, copied all copy protected IBM PC/MS DOS products. Went on to creating products for duplications house and CD ROM protection for all the major platforms of the day. During this time he also taught computer science, math, and computer camps for the University of South Carolina's extension courses.
Continued with Advanced Software until 2005, producing Windows Protection Plus which featured hard drive and network copy protection, floppy disk limited installs to the hard drive, and activation technology. Merged with Nalpeiron in 2005 and have been CTO since then. He is acknowledged as the founding father of the Software Copy Protection business in Wikipedia.
Henry has a BA (Psychology minor in science) and Masters in Computer Science from university of South Carolina.
Carol Berg, Director of Sales
Carol has over 25 years sales experience in the software and financial services industries. Prior to Nalpeiron Carol spent 3 years in financial service business with JP Morgan Chase and ADP selling Workforce Management and Human Resource Management solutions to large enterprise customers and banks. Prior to that she spent 6 years with Macrovision (now Flexera) selling electronic software license management solutions, training and services to major enterprise customers and ISVs. Successfully sold 2 different product lines to 2 different markets while at Macrovision, FLEXnet Manager and FLEXnet Publisher, and was awarded Salesperson of the year honors selling both products. At the beginning of her career she spent 8 years with Logitech, from their earliest days to a financial success, performing an outside sales function for all products to top level major accounts Apple, Silicon Graphics, HP, Compaq, and Dell along with managing two inside Account Representatives for the Apple and Dell accounts. Carol has a BA Political Science for UC Davis.
Paul D'Antilio, COO
Paul has over 25 years executive and consulting experience in the software and financial services industries. Prior to Nalpeiron Paul served as executive in residence and board member/advisor for SproutBox, a SAAS incubator based in Bloomington Indiana. Paul helped close over $3m of financing for the company and portfolio companies. He also developed matching investment programs with the State of Indiana's 21st Century Venture Fund and other venture investment partners. He also developed budgeting systems, forecasting tools and negotiated technology licensing deals for portfolio companies.
As CEO for Future Point Systems he raised over $2m of venture investment and completely revamped the organization into one of the top providers of visual analytic technology into military and intelligence organizations. Previously Paul was a product manager for State Street's Corporate Trust department and he also headed the client reporting and and analytics group for State Street Global Advisors.
Paul has a BS in Accounting and Finance with highest honors from Bentley College in Waltham Mass.
Richard Allen, Technical Director
Richard has over 15 years experience in full cycle Applications development including Presales, Analysis, Management, Design, Development, Testing and Support. At Torex Retail, Developed and supported ePOS and back office systems for over 100 stores for John Menzies and Argos. Developed a Loyalty card system for NE Coop. Ran the IT Department in Canon Voice & Data, managing internal and external support, system development and database admin teams. developing and modernizing the companies internal Hardware and Software CRM systems. At Eclipse was been working with many companies (KIA, Vauxhall, Pernod, Alpro, BetFair, JD Power, Vodaphone) to develop/run and improve their Data based marketing strategies and campaigns.
Richard has a Degree in Computer Science and MicroElectronic System from Oxford Brookes University.
Paul Cooper, EMEA Director
Paul has 25 years experience in IT sales, marketing and European general management positions mainly for US corporations including Macrovision, IBM, Dell and Xerox where he started his career.
Paul worked for Macrovision for 5 years and was the VP of Macrovision’s Software Technology Group (STG) for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Paul joined Macrovision’s STG in 2001 when it was known as Globetrotter Software. He started as Sales Director and grew EMEA revenue from $5m p.a. in 2001 to $25m p.a. in 2005. In 2004, Paul led the InstallShield acquisition and integration in Europe. By 2005, Paul was responsible for 80 staff across Europe including 4 Sales teams (direct and channel), pre sales, marketing, services and technical support.
Paul has a BSc Honors degree in Management Sciences from the University of Bradford. He also qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
